As Division Manager, my primary focus is the creation and execution of our vision as a team.  Using that vision to effectively guide Purchasing, Production, Safety, Quality, Shipping, Maintenance, Administration, Marketing and Sales towards our collective goals is the basis of my responsibilities.
The safety of our team is always our first focus, followed closely by quality control and the maximization of our CEO’s return on investment.  We achieve these objectives by providing quality equipment and management clarity that keeps people safe, while insuring every product we ship has been inspected and is ready for installation.  Through comprehensive analytics we monitor production variables, market penetration and competitive cost controls to insure the staying power of our operation through any economic condition.
Since 1993 I have been involved in the production and sale of over 500,000,000 feet of lumber and flooring.  I feel great personal satisfaction in the leadership role I play within our team and believe you are not a leader until you have trained a leader who can train yet another leader.

If I wasn’t in this industry I would love to be the Captain of a ship.  The vastness of their world and the mass of machinery within their command appears very exciting to me, up until you have to deal with pirates.
  1. What would you do even if you didn’t get paid to do it?
    1. I have designed and built several mills in my career.  Executing a vision and creating an efficient, high speed manufacturing environment is tremendously rewarding to me, so I would continue to work within that aspect of our industry regardless of compensation.
  2. If you could spend a week anywhere in the world, where would it be?
    1. Hunting or fishing with my wife, son and daughter would be my ideal getaway.  My wife and I are both avid outdoor enthusiasts and teaching my children about our love of this passion is a highlight of any trip on the water or in the woods.
  3. If you had to eat only one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
    1. My wife’s chicken Parmesan and apple caramel cake
